Built by logisticians, for logisticians

These tools come from milog — a logistics company and back-office platform from Estonia (Miglass OÜ). We use the same formulas every day to quote groupage, plan trailers and check documents, and we decided to make them public.

  • Transparent formulas. Every page explains how the result is calculated, with worked examples — so you can check the numbers and explain them to your customer.
  • Honest about assumptions. Ratios such as 333 kg/m³ for road freight or container payloads are typical values, not laws. We say so, and you can change them.
  • Private. Calculations run in your browser; nothing you type is sent to our servers.
  • Works on your phone. Check a container number at the terminal or loading metres at the dock.

Frequently asked questions

Are these logistics tools really free?

Yes. The calculators on this page are free and work without registration. The full milog platform for freight forwarders is also free for everyone until September 2027.

Do you store the data I enter?

No. All calculations run locally in your browser. Nothing is uploaded unless you decide to create a milog account and save your work there.

Can I use the results for quotes to my customers?

Yes, but treat them as an estimate. Carriers set their own ratios, vehicle sizes and loading rules, so confirm the final figures with the carrier's tariff and terms.

Which tool do I need for road, sea or air freight?

Road groupage is usually priced by loading metres — use the loading meter calculator. Air and express freight use volumetric weight. Sea freight uses cubic metres (CBM) and W/M; check container numbers with the ISO 6346 tool.
